The Original Silosheath™ is a stretch nylon sheath or sock lined with Silipos®
proprietary polymer gel to provide protection to the residual limb from
abrasion, friction and shearing while allowing the limb maximum flexibility and
mobility. It also absorbs shock and pressure exerted from wearing the various
prosthetic devices. The gel lining is approximately 2mm thick at the toe of the
residual limb.
Silosheath™ is a prosthetic
sheath impregnated with Silipos® gel which contains a medical grade mineral oil
to provide the following benefits:
